Currently seeking IT project managers to support a large scale server consolidation project in a complex networking environment. The role will be aligned with functional groups in the organization and serve as a primary contact to understand the current operating environment and prepare transition requirements to the new consolidated server environment. The project may range in duration from a minimum of 6 months to 18 months.
Key responsibilities for the role will include:
• Determine existing application storage requirements and operating platforms.
• Make recommendations for transition plans to new server platform including required service capacity.
• Review applications and prepare application remediation transition plans.
• Coordinating resources, tasks and timelines throughout the duration of the project.
• Ability to work off hours during server “go-live” and cutover times.
• Ability to work with and deliver on firm deadlines
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
• 5+ years Technology Project Manager experience on large scale projects is required
• Previous experience with data warehousing/consolidation, server consolidation, large network support, data security and application remediation required.
• Experience with multiple platforms is required ( Intel/Unix)
• Previous experience with a large technology consulting firm is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Project Management best practices. PMP certification is a plus
• Good customer communication skills
